I started out in the automotive field after high school by joining the Army. While in the army, I trained to be a light-wheeled vehicle mechanic; after working on vehicles full-time for a few years, I decided that it wasn’t the full-time career that I really wanted. In 1988 I took an apprentice job with a local electrician and worked on residential houses for a couple of years. I worked with 2 or 3 employers during my apprenticeship, and received my Journeyman’s license in 1992. I also continued to work in the automotive industry as a second job, and because of this experience I have a very good understanding of how to repair a wide variety of mechanical things. I worked in Hanson and Plymouth for 5 years doing residential and industrial work, then I took a job where I spent 4 years wiring new houses on Cape Cod. For the past 11 years I've been working as the lead electrician for one of the largest heating and cooling companies on the Cape. I have a very good understanding of most systems, and I enjoy wiring the more complex systems with multiple circulators, zone heads, and floor heating controls.
